How to view all family investments

The Family Investments screen gives you a single, scrollable list of every investment linked to your family account. Before you move money, adjust a contribution, or check how a child’s savings are growing, this is the right place to start.

What is an investment in KiddyCash? An investment is a savings goal or asset you set up on behalf of a child. It can be a fixed savings plan, a money market allocation, or a recurring contribution funded by the child’s allowance. Each investment belongs to one child but is visible to the parent who manages the family.

Before you begin

Make sure you have:

  • Logged in as the parent or guardian on your family account
  • Completed KYC (identity verification) — unverified accounts cannot view investment details
  • At least one child added to your family profile

If you have not yet set up an investment, read how to create a child investment first, then return here.

Steps to view all family investments

  1. Open the KiddyCash app on your phone and sign in with your parent account credentials.

  2. Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner to open the main navigation drawer.

  3. Select “Family” from the navigation list. This takes you to your family dashboard, where all linked children and their wallets are displayed.

  4. Tap “Investments” in the family dashboard menu, or go directly to your family investments screen from any browser.

  5. Review the investments list. Every active investment across all your children appears here in a single view.

If you are managing a large family — common in households across Nairobi or Mombasa where multiple children share one parent account — this list helps you compare progress across all children at a glance without switching profiles.

Viewing a single child’s investment

Once you spot the investment you want to inspect, tap its row to open the detail view. For a full walkthrough of what that screen shows, see how to view a child investment.

Why this matters

Allowances are more than pocket money. When children see their investments growing alongside their weekly KES allowance — whether funded via M-Pesa or a direct wallet transfer — it builds real financial habits early. Read why allowances matter for modern families and how allowances work as a family financial tool for context on building this into your family’s routine.

Troubleshooting

  • No investments showing? Check that at least one child investment has been created. The list will be empty if none exist yet.
  • Missing a child? The child may not be fully added to your family profile. Go to Family → Members and confirm all children are listed.
  • Values showing in a different currency? Go to Settings → Currency and set your preferred display currency to KES.
