How to view business transaction history
Your transaction history is a record of every payment, transfer, or financial activity linked to your business account on KiddyCash. Reviewing it regularly helps you stay on top of cash flow, verify completed payments, and spot anything that looks out of place — especially useful if your business processes high volumes of family wallet top-ups or allowance disbursements across multiple accounts.
What you’ll need
- An active KiddyCash Business account with KYB (Know Your Business) verification completed
- Your login credentials for the KiddyCash Business portal
- The specific Business Account ID for the account whose history you want to view
KYB is the business equivalent of identity verification. KiddyCash requires it before a business can send or receive funds. If you haven’t completed KYB yet, contact support before continuing.
Step-by-step: Viewing your transaction list
-
Log in to the KiddyCash Business portal at business.kiddy.cash.
-
Select your business from the dashboard. If you manage more than one business (for example, a chain of school canteens in Nairobi), make sure you’ve selected the correct one.
-
Navigate to the account you want to inspect. Each business can have multiple business accounts — for instance, one for KES collections and another for campaign payouts.
-
Open the transaction history by going directly to:
https://business.kiddy.cash/business/:business_id/account/:business_account_id/transactionReplace
:business_idwith your actual Business ID and:business_account_idwith the relevant account ID. Both are visible on your account settings page. -
Browse or filter the transaction list. By default, transactions appear in reverse chronological order — most recent first.
Understanding the transaction list
Each row in the transaction list contains the following fields:
| Field | What it means |
|---|---|
| Transaction ID | A unique reference code for that specific activity. Share this with support when raising a query. |
| Date & Time | When the transaction was processed on the KiddyCash platform. |
| Type | The kind of activity — e.g. allowance disbursement, wallet top-up, M-Pesa transfer, or subscription charge. |
| Amount (KES) | The value moved, shown in Kenyan Shillings by default. |
| Status | Whether the transaction is completed, pending, or failed. |
| Reference | An internal or external code, such as an M-Pesa confirmation number, linked to the transaction. |
Transaction statuses explained
- Completed — Funds have moved successfully. No action needed.
- Pending — The transaction is still being processed. If you manage family-linked accounts, learn how to review a pending family transaction before taking further steps.
- Failed — The transaction did not go through. Check the reference code and contact support if the issue persists.
Creating transactions from the business side
The transaction history is read-only — you cannot create a transaction from this view. To initiate a new payment or allowance disbursement linked to a family, see how to create a family transaction.
If you’re thinking about how your business’s work connects to the bigger picture of kids learning about money, the KiddyCash blog covers why chores still matter in modern family life and how chores connect to financial literacy for kids — worth a read if you run school or family-facing campaigns.
Tips for business owners
- Export your transaction history monthly and reconcile it against your M-Pesa till or bank statements.
- Use Transaction IDs when raising support tickets — they speed up resolution significantly.
- If you run campaigns or badge-linked rewards, filter by transaction type to isolate campaign payouts.
